RUMFORD — Young, local artists will have the oppertunity to get art supplies thanks to the proceeds raised from a four-day art and tatoo exposition.
At Fuel the Arts, art is auctioned off nightly, and the proceeds of which are used to purchase art supplies for children attending local school art programs, day care centers, and after school programs like Rumford Community Center and Western Foothills Kids Association.
Gaskyl Productions and InkMaine, which host the expo, are seeking children in need of art supplies. Six to eight children who dedicate a significant amount of serious time to creating art will be treated to an art supply shopping spree. Organizers will give each child a basket and let them fill it with whatever art supplies they need.
Applicants must be younger than 18 and available on Sunday, May 7.
To enter or recommend a child for the program, those interested may Email: the child’s name and age, a brief description of the child, the art they enjoy doing the most, and any art recognition or awards they may have received along with three images of their artwork to [email protected]
Deadline for submissions is Sunday, April 30.
