LEWISTON — Bangor Savings Bank has donated $75,000 to LifeFlight of Maine toward replacing two original 2004 helicopters.
LifeFlight of Maine Executive Director Thomas P. Judge said the donation was the first major grant in the campaign to raise $8 million of the $13 million needed to buy the next generation of aircraft.
LifeFlight, which has bases in Lewiston and Bangor, is the only air rescue and transport organization serving Maine.
