First Auburn Seniors to meet 

AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the Martindale Country Club for the anniversary dinner and entertainment. Those attending must have a ticket.

There were 45 members present at the last meeting. Attendence winners were Jeanette Sutton and Jeannine Cyr; Pot of Gold winners, Nancy Roy, Madge Gardner and Barbara Willis; 50/50, Doloris Danforth, Cindy Larrabee and Cecilia Umbro; and Easter flowers, Marilyn Redmon. 

Neighborhood Watch meeting Wednesday

AUBURN — A Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the West Auburn Congregational Church.

The guest speaker will be Eric Cousins, the city’s deputy director of economic and community development.

Valley Cemetery Association to hold annual meeting

GREENE — The annual meeting of the Valley Cemetery Association will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 8, at the town office.

Lot owners are welcome to attend and are reminded that old baskets and Christmas arrangements should be removed to facilitate spring clean.

Jam session in Auburn

AUBURN — The Park Avenue Pickers will holds a monthly jam session at 6:15 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month, at the Auburn United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave.

The next session will be May 9.

The jam session is open to all musicians.

Lakeside Chapter OES to meet

WALES — Lakeside Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, will begin its 180th year by honoring mothers at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the Masonic Building, 233 Centre Rd.

The Ladies will be in colored gowns and the Gentlemen in tuxedos or dark suits.

Items for the Chapter’s “Whatever Basket” for Grand Chapter will be accepted and placed in the basket, which will be due at the meeting so that it may be “dressed” for Grand Chapter on the week of May 14 and taken in for the fundraiser on May 16.

All members and Eastern Star visitors are welcome. There will be light refreshments after the meeting.

‘Elvis’ performing for Lewiston Seniors

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will host an evening with Elvis. EP Rock will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, May 12, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

Tickets are on sale at the Senior Center at the Armory for $10 in advance. Tickets will be $12 at the door.

Bridge club lists winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on April 18 were, first, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Paul Clement and Roger Labbe; third, Claire Lyons and Nancy Lindgrten; first in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, in B BJ and Steve Cavicchi.

Winners on April 24, first, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; and, third, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.

Winners on April 25, first, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; second, Marta Clements and Richard Allen; third, Pat and Mike Quinn; and, first in B, Paul Clement and Roger Labbe.

Games are played at 9 a.m Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is guaranteed, and all bridge players are welcomed.
