NORWAY — The Main Street Gallery, 426 Main St., Norway, continues the 2017 season with a First Friday reception for featured artist Jeanne LaBounty from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 5.

LaBounty describes herself and her work : “I’m was born and raised in Rochester, N.H. I have been living in Maine since 2001. I’ve been painting for about 30 years, having done several kinds of painting —  tole painting, sign painting and folk art. These days I am a realistic painter who still dabbles in the other arts from time-to-time. I enjoy doing portraits, animals, and still life.  I’m inspired most by the love of family, animals and the beauty of nature.

 The Main Street Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
