FARMINGTON — Theresa M. Legere, 84, a resident of Jay, passed away Wednesday, May 3, at Edgewood Rehab & Living Center.
She was born April 8, 1933, in Chisholm, the daughter of Leo Legere and Rose (Breton) Legere. She graduated from Jay High School in the Class of 1953. She was a self-employed hairdresser and also worked at the local shoe shop. Theresa was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. Theresa enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two sisters, Aline Purington of Jay and Jeannine Perreault and her husband, Robert, of Jay; a brother, Adrian Legere of Jay; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Lucien Legere; her sister, Margaret Castonguay; her brother-in-law, Larry Purington; her sister-in-law, Marie “Mary Lou” Legere; and her nephew, Marcel Castonguay.
