WILTON — The Wilton Group is inviting town residents to its annual Candidate Meet and Greet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Calzolaio’s Pasta Co.

A presentation on the proposed property ordinance amendment will also be given.

Two candidates, David Leavitt and Keith Swett, are running for seats on the Board of Selectpersons. Irv Faunce is running for Regional School Unit 9 school board representative.  All are running unopposed. 

Candidates will share their views on Wilton and then take questions from the audience.

Town Manager Rhonda Irish and Code Enforcement Officer Adam Cote will discuss the proposed amendment to the Building and Property Maintenance Ordinance.

Irish and Cote will give a slide presentation and review progress to date on Wilton’s abandoned and neglected houses since the last property ordinance was passed.

Voters will decide on the amendment at the annual town meeting on Monday, May 22.

A copy of the proposed amendment will be available at the meeting for people to review and ask questions. Copies of the proposed amendment also will be available at the Town Office.
