AUBURN — Lucienne L. Giguere, 89, of Lewiston died Sunday, May 7, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, following a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emelda (Labonte) Lebrun and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was employed as a spinner in the local textile industry and worked in several shoe shops prior to her retirement.
Lucienne enjoyed watching television and doing word search puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed her family and friends and especially kids.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Giguere, whom she married Sept. 20, 1958, of Lewiston; three sisters, Exilia Beaulieu of Lewiston, Priscilla Bard of Auburn and Cecile Brodeur of Lewiston; and by one brother, Guy Lebrun of Sabattus.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Simone Pelletier of Mechanic Falls, Jeanne D’Arc Lebrun of Lewiston and Claudette Rancourt of New Gloucester; and three brothers, Roger Lebrun of Leeds, Bert Lebrun of New Gloucester and Gerard (Jim) Lebrun of Lewiston.
