One thing Western Maine isn’t lacking is All Terrain Vehicle trails that connect many rural parts of this area. There’s a plethora of all-volunteer clubs in the region, which help maintain the miles and miles of trails for residents and visitors alike. While there may be mountains and lakes that prevent cars from traveling the way the crow flies, it’s easier for those on ATVs to travel through the woods from scenic Oxford Hills to other parts of the region — perhaps stopping at one of several ice cream stands on the way.
