WILTON — The following sessions will be held at the Wilton CareerCenter, 865 U.S. Route 2E, in Wilton.

These workshops are at no cost to the public. All workshops begin promptly at listed times. Registration required.

Employer Expectations: 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 14. The workshop includes: Creating a great resume, preparing for an interview and preparing for a new job. Slots are limited.

MEOC-101 — Essentials of College Planning: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, June 8. This workshop introduces people to educational opportunities in general and MEOC services in particular. It touches on admissions, financial aid, career and study skills. The financial aid part includes the completion of the Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Vocational Rehabilitation Orientation: 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1. This is an orientation for people with disabilities who are considering vocational rehabilitation services. Orientations are held the first Thursday of the month. Service providers are also welcome to attend. Registration not required

Small Business Trainings: The Small Business Administration offers three different workshops: “Starting Your Own Small Business,” “Access to Capital” and “Federal and State Resources for Small Business.” Most of these workshops are two hours long. Workshops in the Rumford area:

Resume and Interviewing Skills: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, Region 9, Mexico. Explore the basics of resumes and applications. Learn to market yourself in a way that directly matches employer needs. “Tough” interview questions will be discussed. Call 207-645-5800 to register.
