AUBURN — Nathalie E. Roy, 96, of Buckfield passed with peace and grace on Thursday, May 11, with loved ones at her side.

Predeceased by her loving husband Arthur in 1985, son Richard in 1992, stepson Franklin in 2005 and step-granddaughter, Donna Perry in 2015.

She is survived by granddaughter, Jessie Allen of Fredericksburg, Va.; grandson, Scott Roy and his wife, Anne, of Callahan, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren, Kerry, Zachary, Issabelle, CJ, Dasia, Desirae, Jeremy and Mikaela. Along with her immediate family, she is also survived by loving step-grandchildren, Peter, Fredrick and Judy Roy, Jackie Tayes and Virginia Chamberlain and all of their children and grandchildren. She always held a special place in her heart for Jessie and Scott’s mother, Kathy Becvar of Lewiston as well as a very dear and generous “son,” Virgil Tilton of Buckfield along with his family.

Nathalie was born in Norway. She moved to Buckfield as a young woman to begin her family. After marrying Arthur, she devoted her energies into raising their son, Richard, and eventually enjoying her time spent with all of her grandchildren. She spent over 30 years as the librarian at the Zadoc Long Free Library in Buckfield where she made many friends, including her special friend, Everett Tilton. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose greatest passion was helping others and bringing smiles to their faces. Her ability to tell stories from her life would lure you in and make you lose track of time. She leaves us rich in memories and full of love.

The family wishes to offer a very special thanks to the Tilton Family for their loving care and companionship over many years.
