AUBURN — Mary D. Boynton, 92, of South Paris died on Thursday, May 18, at the Auburn Hospice House.

She was born Aug. 25, 1924 in Paris Hill, the daughter of the late Alfred M. and Ethel (Twitchell) Daniels. She was the wife of the late William Boynton, who died on Dec. 11, 1984.

She was born and lived in the same house on Paris Hill her entire life. She graduated from Paris High School in 1944. She started work as a telephone operator after 31 years of service. She took care of both of her parents in her home in their final years.

In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and mowing her own lawn on a riding mower into her late 80s. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. She also had a great fondness for dogs, especially collies.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, William E. Boynton; a twin brother, Mark A. Daniels; and a brother, William A. Daniels.

She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Lasselle of Bolsters Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews.
