LIVERMORE FALLS — A man was seriously injured Tuesday night while he was riding a three-wheeler on a local trail behind a house at 199 Pine Ridge Loop, located off Route 106.
The ATV flipped and landed on top of the man who was driving the three-wheeler, Cpl. John MacDonald of the Maine Warden Service wrote in an email Wednesday. MacDonald declined to identify the man because the accident is under investigation, he said.
The man received a broken jaw and damage to his left ear, he said. The driver was not wearing a helmet and the ATV was not registered.
Livermore Falls police officer Darian Nadeau responded to secure the accident scene prior to a warden arriving, Livermore Falls Lt. Joseph Sage said Wednesday.
The Livermore Fire Department was also called out, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
