BETHEL — Levi Brown, gym teacher and teaching principal of Crescent Park Elementary in Bethel, will retire from School Administrative District 44 next month.
Brown received his teaching degree at Plymouth University in New Hampshire.
He said playing games for a living sounded great to him, so he became a physical education teacher. In 2003, he moved up to principal.
Brown has taught students in kindergarten to grade 12 and said he’s learned from them that nothing is easy and most things take time. He said he hopes he’s taught students “to take ownership for the mistakes we all make on a daily basis.”
As for the future, Brown said he’s happy not to know what it holds.

Levi Brown, principal of Crescent Park Elementary, will retire this year.
