AUBURN — The Auburn Recreation Department is sponsoring the following trips for seniors in June and July:
Friday, June 2: Sawyer Foundation, performance by Larry Gowell, local vocalist. Van will leave Pettengill Park at 11:30 a.m. and will stop at Hurricane’s Café for lunch (on your own) prior to the performance. Cost: $5 for transportation. There is no cost for the show, but the foundation accepts donations. The van will return by 4 p.m.
Tuesday, June 22: Foster’s Clambake in York. Bus will leave Pettengill Park at 10 a.m. Minimum of 25 people. Cost: $50 a person.
Thursday, July 20: Songo River Queen Trip. Bus leaves Pettengill Park at 11 a.m. The boat sails at noon for a two-hour tour of Long Lake. Lunch will be Italian sandwiches, chips, dessert and bottled water. Cost: $35 a person (includes boat ticket, transportation and lunch.) The bus will stop for an ice cream at Fielder’s Choice in Auburn on the way back (on your own).
Friday, July 28: Sawyer Foundation, Lorraine Ouellette Trio. Van leaves Pettengill Park at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at Hurricane’s Café at noon (on your own). The performance will be at 2 p.m. The van will return by 4 p.m. Register in advance in the recreation office. Space is limited. Cost: $5 for transportation.
