LEWISTON — Monique Roy will share a wrap-up of her year as president and talk about transitioning the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club into a new year on Thursday, June 1, at the Ramada Inn.
Roy has been a Rotarian since April 2012. She has served as chair of the Scholarship Committee since 2013. Roy’s career has been focused mainly on education. She has worked in the public school sector, adult education and higher education.
Her passion lies in lifelong learning and community service. She works for the University of New England as the assistant program manager for the Graduate Programs in Education. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in leadership studies.
Roy has lived in Lewiston for the past 10 years after her husband’s service in the Navy was completed.
Lunch is available for $10 in the Fusion Restaurant at the Ramada, 490 Pleasant St. Reservations are not required.
