PORTLAND (AP) — Maine police are searching for a suspect on the run after a late-night shooting left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Portland police say the shooting happened late Tuesday evening. WCSH-TV reports the victim was in surgery in the early hours of Wednesday morning and is considered to be in critical condition.
Police say there is no threat to the public, because they believe the victim and the suspect know each other. They tell WCSH-TV they plan to release the victim’s name soon.
