The Maine Legislature honored Jeromey Rancourt, left, of Lewiston, with a Legislative Sentiment on May 24 after he was awarded the Travis Roy Award, which goes to the top Senior Class A boys hockey player in Maine each year. Rancourt is pictured with Nate Libby, D-Lewiston. In the 2016-17 season he led the team in scoring during the regular season with 18 goals and 26 assists and had one goal and five assists in the playoffs. A Legislative Sentiment is a significant expression by the Legislature in recognition of civic and public achievements. Rancourt helped lead the Lewiston High School Boys Hockey Team to back-to-back Class A State Championship wins in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.
