LEWISTON — CFRE International has announced that Joleen Bedard, executive director at United Way of Androscoggin County in Lewiston, has completed criteria and gained the certified fundraising executive designation.
Individuals granted the certified fundraising executive credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education and demonstrated fundraising achievement for not-for-profit organizations. They have also passed a rigorous written exam on the knowledge, skills and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold accountability standards and The Donor Bill of Rights.
Bedard has 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience and holds a master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University and an undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s College.
She lives in Turner with her family.
