Recently, a jury found Eric Griffey not guilty of attempted murder, instead, finding him guilty of aggravated assault. Had it not been for the swift and heroic action of a neighbor, the outcome of the incident could have been much more tragic.

The judge’s ruling was a disappointment to several residents of Clover Lane. With all the facts and statements that were presented, it has been difficult for those residents and those affected to understand how the judge justified cutting the sentence in half. The punishment doesn’t seem to fit the crime.

Family and those residents are now left to deal with the emotional trauma for a lifetime.
