AUBURN — School budget referendum and special municipal election, all-day voting at regular ward polls: Washburn School, Auburn Middle School, Fairview School, Auburn Hall and Sherwood Heights, polls close at 8 p.m.

LEWISTON — City Council workshop, 6 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall. 

AUBURN — Planning Board meeting, 6 p.m., City Council Chamber, Auburn Hall. 



LEWISTON — Public hearing to examine the criminalization of people with mental illness in Maine, 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., City Hall, sponsored by Maine Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Because of budget cuts, mental health services have been cut, resulting in the prisons and jails housing people who are mentally ill.

AUBURN — School Committee, regular meeting 7 p.m., City Council Chamber, Auburn Hall.

FRIDAY, June 16

LEWISTON and AUBURN — Art Walk LA, 5 p.m. at multiple locations in both cities. 


LEWISTON — 17th Annual Clean Sweep at Bates College, a garage sale on a massive scale that benefits the environment, community organizations and shoppers, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Underhill Arena, 145 Russell St.
