Maine Savvy Caregiver 1 Training
PARIS — SeniorsPlus has announced Savvy Caregiver 1 training scheduled 1 to 3 p.m. Thursdays, June 22 through July 27, in their Activity Room, at 243 Maine St., No. 6.
The training is designed for those caring for someone with dementia, and will allow them to learn how to take care of themselves, reduce stress, and also communicate more easily with their people. This is a 6-week workshop, with each session lasting two hours.
This class is free but pre-registration is required.

NAMI Youth Mental Health First Aid
FARMINGTON — NAMI Maine and its Western Mountains affiliate are holding two Youth Mental Health First Aid courses in June:
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 20: Franklin Health Commons Bass Room, Farmington.
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m Tuesday, June 27: Rumford Point UCC Church, Rumford Point.
The course is free but there is a $5 lunch fee. The course offers a 3-year national certification.
