WAYNE — The greater Wayne community, friends and associates are welcome at the farewell reception for Pastor Ernie and Joan Farrar from 11 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 18, in Fellowship Hall, Wayne Community Church, Old Winthrop Road.
All are welcome to attend the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service, to hear Pastor Ernie’s final sermon before he and Joan move to their new assignment in Lunenberg, Massachusetts.
The service will include the choir singing their favorite hymns and anthems, and a Litany of Farewell will be shared. Friends from Mechuwana, those who Farrar coached on the soccer field, area ministerial associates, friends and neighbors — all are welcome to celebrate Pastor Ernie’s ministry in Wayne.
Coffee and a light brunch reception will follow worship. A card basket will be available.
