Emergency personnel tend to occupants of four vehicles involved in a collision on Lisbon Street across from Grimmel’s service station in Lewiston late Wednesday morning.

LEWISTON — Three people were hurt in a four-car pileup on Lisbon Street late Wednesday morning, police said.

Timothy Doble, 29, was driving a Buick LeSabre taxi down Bleachery Hill at about 11 a.m. when he struck the back of a Nissan Sentra driven by Jimale Dahlr, 43, of Lewiston, who was stopped in traffic, police said.

The impact forced Dahlr’s car into a Jeep Cherokee driven by Andrea Condon, 62, of Lisbon, as she, too, was stopped in traffic. Condon’s vehicle struck the back of a Chevrolet Impala driven by Nicole Brougham, 29, of Manchester, who had been stopped and preparing to make a left turn into Grimmel’s service station, according to police.

Police said three people were taken to hospitals to be examined for minor injuries.

One lane on Bleachery Hill was closed briefly as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared from the roadway.

At least two people were injured Wednesday in a four-car crash near Grimmel’s service station on Lisbon Street in Lewiston. The first car stopped, and three cars behind it failed to do so in time, according to police.
