AUBURN — Kenneth “Stinger” A. Lothrop, 81, of Minot passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Hospice House in Auburn with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston on July 17, 1936, the son of the late Alton C. and Maude (French) Lothrop. He lived most of his life in Minot. He graduated from Crosby High School in Belfast in 1954 and then proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Ken worked several years as a finish carpenter and then went to work at International Paper in Jay until his retirement in 1998.
Ken enjoyed skiing, camping, traveling, NASCAR and his Patriots!
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jacqueline C. Lothrop of Minot; his daughter, Deborah A. Chase of Auburn and her partner, Ralph Felker; his son, Michael C. Lothrop of Atlanta, Ga., and his partner, Robert Norvell; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Smith of Tucson, Ariz., Portia A. Lothrop and Paige N. Chase of Auburn; as well as his great-granddaughters, Kailynn D. Willey and Charlotte Smith.
He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara; and his son, Stephen.
