U.S. Sen. Susan Collins isn’t exactly wowed by the Texas congressman “that challenged me to a duel.”

Caught on a hot microphone talking Tuesday with U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., the Maine Republican called Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Texas, huge and unattractive.

According to a recording posted by The Hill, Reed told Collins “Trust me, you know why he challenged you to a duel? Because you could beat the shit out of him.”

Collins responded, “He’s so unattractive, it’s unbelievable. Did you see the picture of him in his pajamas next to this bunny, Playboy bunny?”

Farenthold told a radio interviewer in Texas that “some female senators from the Northeast” had such repugnant positions on healthcare that he would challenge them to a duel if they were from South Texas.

The photograph that Collins referred to showed the congressman wearing duck-print pajamas next to a scantily clad model. It was shared widely on social media this week.
