OQUOSSOC — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts’ 37th annual “Art in August” will be held in the heart of Oquossoc Village. Always the first Thursday in August, the show will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 3. Artists’ exhibits will be in Oquossoc Park.
Oquossoc Village is a location in the Rangeley Lakes region that is sure to please visitors as amenities are within easy walking distance of the artists’ displays and there is ample parking. Lunch and refreshments are available from local restaurants and grocers, so those attending the art show can visit each exhibitor and make selections at their leisure.
Prizes will be awarded in both fine art and fine craft categories. Ribbons will be awarded early so that throughout the day, the public can enjoy viewing the winning pieces.
