WILTON — The Wilton Fish & Game Association will hold the annual open house on Saturday, Aug. 5, during the Wilton Blueberry Festival Weekend.
Archery will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a certified instructor on site to instruct the use of equipment, safety and technique. This is an opportunity for anyone age 6 and up interested in archery to try the sport.
The Conex Box will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for those wishing to sharpen their skills at the shooting gallery. The Shot Challenge, Gatling Gun and Shooting Gallery will be available and guns and ammo will be supplied for a small fee. There will be a range officer on site. Bring eye and ear protection.
There will also be demonstrations on reloading with Elvis and blacksmithing with Mike from 1 to 4 p.m.
Handcut fries and hot dogs will be available for lunch, and funds will go toward the Range Improvement Project.
WF&G members will be by Food City during the festival Friday and Saturday to answer questions about membership or events sponsored throughout the year. Tickets will be available as a fundraiser this year with a Wall of Prizes, and proceeds will go toward range improvement.
Wilton Fish & Game meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month.
