AUBURN — Theodore Carlton Reynolds II passed away Tuesday, July 25, after a brief illness.

He was born June 30, 1933, in Auburn, a son of the late Theodore and Elinor Reynolds. He attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little, Class of 1951. After high school, he joined the Air Force and served at Elmendorf A.F.B. in Alaska where he met the love of his life, Alda Rice. They were married Jan. 20, 1956, in Anchorage. They moved back to Auburn in 1957 and Ted started working at Central Maine Power Co. where he worked for 38 years.

Ted was a member of Court Street Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and served as a trustee. He was an avid golfer. He also liked mountain climbing, gardening and bowling. Ted was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alda, of Auburn; daughters, Nancy Adams and husband, Lawrence of Kennebunk and Barbara Brown and husband, Thomas of DeLand, Fla.; a brother, Ronald Reynolds and wife, Connie, of Venice, Fla.; a sister, Sandra Scribner and husband, Carroll, of Venice, Fla.; six grandchildren, Maxwell Adams, Kelsey (Adams) Snyder, Brooke Adams, Samantha Adams, Kristina (Brown) Wing and Thomas Brown Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother John Reynolds.
