FARMINGTON — Farmington Police Department is once again reminding residents to lock their vehicles at night after two separate incidents of theft were reported early Monday morning.

Tools were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle, sometime overnight, at a home on the Knowlton Corner Road, office manager Bonnie Pomeroy said.

The owner reported the incident at 5:46 a.m. on Monday.

Another incident of theft from a vehicle on the Knowlton Corner Road was reported at 7:20 a.m. Monday. This time, an undisclosed amount of money was taken, she said.

Last weekend, money was taken during a burglary of an unlocked vehicle parked in the garage of a residence on Meadow Lane. Less than 100 dollars was taken in that incident.

It is a good habit to always lock your vehicle as people are looking for an opportunity to take items, according to the department.
