AUBURN — The Auburn Recreation Department is hosting the following trips for seniors:
Thursday, Aug. 24: Cook’s Lobster House, Bailey Island. The van will leave Pettengill Park at 10 a.m. Lunch at Cook’s Lobster & Ale House at noon (on your own), followed by shopping at Land’s End Gift Shop. Return by 5 p.m. Register at the Auburn Recreation Department. Cost: $10 for transportation.
Friday, Sept. 8: Sawyer Foundation to see the Mollyocket Chorus. The van will leave Pettengill Park at 11:30 a.m. for lunch at Hurricane’s Café at noon (on your own), then head to the Sawyer Foundation for the 2 p.m. performance. Donations are accepted. Return by 4 p.m. Register in advance in the recreation office. Cost: $5.
Tuesday, Sept. 12: Christmas Tree Shop, South Portland. The van will leave Pettengill Park at 10 a.m. and lunch at the Olive Garden (on your own.) The van will go to the Christmas Tree Shop, Five Below, Burlington Coat Factory and other stores, as desired. Return at about 4:30 p.m. Cost: $5.
The trips are available to anyone who is 55 or older, regardless of residency.
