Blood drive planned in Winthrop
WINTHROP — There will be a community blood drive held at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Route 133, on Thursday, Aug. 10, from 1 to 6 p.m.
The drive is open to all qualifying donors, and all are welcome. A form of identification is required to donate.

Danville Junction Grange annual picnic
WALES — Members of Danville Junction Grange will gather for the annual picnic on Thursday, Aug. 10, at the home of Bill and Shirley Hatch on Leeds Junction Road in Wales. People will start gathering around 4 p.m.
Members are to bring their own lunch and a salad or dessert to share, plus lawn chairs. A grill will be available for those who wish to cook.
Coupons for troops and donations for PAL will be collected.
All members and guests are welcome.
Food pantry seeks donations
AUBURN — The High Street Congregational Church Food Pantry has ongoing needs for the following items: peanut butter, canned vegetables, soup, canned past, canned meats, canned fruit, dry cereal, baking items, soup, crackers and toilet paper.
Auburn United Methodist Church collects items for the pantry. Donations may be brought to 439 Park Ave.
