WALES — A Florida man was transported to Central Maine Medical Center Sunday after his motorcycle collided with a goat that had run into the road, according to Lt. Glen Holt of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
Gregory Pierce, 69, of Mount Plymouth, Florida, was traveling north on Pond Road in Wales, also known as Route 132, on a 2006 black Harley-Davidson when a goat ran into the road, Holt said.
Pierce was unable to stop his motorcycle in time to avoid colliding with the goat, which died on scene.
Pierce was transported to CMMC with non-serious injuries after the 6 p.m. crash.
