AUBURN — Three students enrolled in SAD 52 Adult Education in Turner recently participated in a Ready2Work Personal Support Specialist and Certified Residential Medication Aid Certificate Program at Schooner Estates.

The 150-hour course was funded by a grant provided by Western Maine Community Action (WMCA), a partner in the CareerCenter in Lewiston. Students Nicole Warner, Jennifer Lamothe and Judy Keenan-Bower successfully completed five weeks of intensive training.

Students acquired the work readiness skills for a certification in residential medication and a healthcare work readiness certificate that healthcare sector employers are seeking. Mock interviews, tours and other healthcare specific presentations were included as part of the curriculum.

Lewiston CareerCenter is at 9 Mollison Way, Lewiston.
