ANSWER: I’m announcing this again because there was confusion regarding the date as printed in Sun Spots on Aug. 1. See you there!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m writing for my grandmother who wants to know if there is a gas station in Lewiston where elderly people can get help filling their gas tank. She would be so grateful if you could help. Thank you in advance. — No name, No town
ANSWER: I’m putting this one out to our helpful readers. Do you know of a full-service gas station? In my neck of the woods, there is one that fills the tank for seniors on certain days of the week. There must be one in the great city of Lewiston too. If not, perhaps we should start a movement and see how many gas station managers are willing to provide such a valuable service to our seniors.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for all the help you give to people. I would like to express my gratitude to all the people at the Oxford Dollar Tree who helped me search for my wallet on Saturday, July 29. I want to thank the customers in the store and some who came back into the store when they heard I couldn’t find the wallet, as well as Roberta, the store manager, the Oxford police officer, and my daughter-in-law, Bertha. It was found later and all is OK. — No name, No town
ANSWER: I love when readers share these acts of kindness. It can be very unnerving to lose something as important as a wallet containing not only cash but credit cards and identification. So glad you had a happy ending!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Is there any lake in the area where dogs are allowed to swim? — No name, No town
ANSWER: Perhaps your local animal shelter or your veterinarian would know of a good spot for your doggie to cool off on these warm summer days. Readers, where do you take your furry child for a swim?
