LEWISTON — It is with great sadness that the family of Armand R. Levesque, “Pup,” announces his passing on Saturday, Aug. 5, at the age of 86.
Armand will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Janice (Pinette) of Greene; his children, Paul Levesque and his wife, Suzanne, of Leeds, and Pauline Hanley and her husband, George, of East Millinocket. Armand will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, Brad Tripp, Paula and her husband, Jon Nagy, Joshua Levesque, and Peter and his wife, Becca Levesque. He will be missed by his five great-grandchildren, Aaron, Austin, and Autumn Tripp, Reese and Alec Nagy.
Armand Levesque lived a peaceful life on his farm on Ferry Road in Lewiston. For many years of his life, he was a dairy farmer who had a milk route in Lewiston and Auburn. After that, he owned Levesque’s Variety at 1290 Lisbon St. for many years before retiring.
Armand loved being around his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a great husband, an amazing father and wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed working in his garden and could be found outside in any weather where he usually had his cat, Lucky, close at his heels.
Armand was lucky to have wonderful neighbors, Richard and Sue Stukas, and Roger (nephew) and Sandy Belanger who helped him with his many tasks at his home.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
