BOSTON, Mass. — Abigail Aneka Thompson, 20, of Lewiston died Monday, May 8, at Massachusetts General Hospital.

She was born in May Pen, Jamaica, Nov. 5, 1996, daughter of Ann Marie Natalie Young, stepfather, Dowane James and Desmond Thompson and stepmother, Kelly Thompson. Abigail graduated from Oak Hill High School in 2015 alongside her brother, Justin Dostie. She was involved in the choir at school and she loved to sing. She also loved to dance and swim and had many friends at school.

Prior to her passing, she worked as CNA at Russell Park Rehabilitation nursing facility.

She is survived by her mom, Ann Marie Young and Dowane James of Jamaica; her dad, Desmond and Kelly Thompson of Sabattus; stepgrandparents, Tom and Irene Dostie of Lewiston; and half-siblings, Justin Dostie, Isabella Thompson, and Isaiah Thompson, all of Sabattus. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Kristine Adams and husband, Daniel, and Elaine Fenderson, all of Lewiston; and many other relatives in Jamaica.
