RANGELEY — There will be something for everyone to enjoy, see and taste during the Oquossoc Day festivities Saturday, Aug. 19.

“The whole event is centered around Oquossoc Village,” Janet Koob, an organizer, said Thursday.

This year’s theme is Patriotism. A listing of the festivities can be found at Oquossoc Day on Facebook.

Live music, art, crafts, antiques, boats, children’s activities, food specials are among the offerings. The Maine Attraction Water Ski Show Team will perform from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Oquossoc Cove in Rangeley Lake.

Performing on the dock at Oquossoc Cove between 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. will be JoJo and the Bros. A boat parade will take place from 1 to 1:30 p.m. with awards.

Events beginning at 10 a.m. include:

• Little Wooden Boat Show until 3:30 p.m. at Oquossoc Cove Marina;

• Art and Antique Show at Sporting Heritage Museum open until 4 p.m.;

• Face painting for kids and berry shortcake at Farmer’s Daughter;

• Craft Show, live music, food and drink, children’s activities and raffle at Four Seasons Cafe;

• Collector Car Show & Shine at Oquossoc Marine; 

• Oquossoc Fire Station open house;

• Bald Mountain Camps Lunch Trailer in downtown Oquossoc;

• Open House and burger sale at Log Church/Oquossoc Cove Marina.

11 a.m. events include:

• Doggie Garden Party and children’s activities, Oquossoc Grocery;

• Wonders from the Wood Fired Grille, 45th Parallel; and

• Fantastic Fresh Meat, PortaHouse.

From 3 to 3:30 p.m. will be the annual Sink the Bismark target competition at Oquossoc Cove.  

Raffle tickets to win a Pelican kayak, historic framed map of the region and a Custom Mooselook Sign are available at Oquossoc businesses.

Drawings for the raffle will be held at 4 p.m. at The Gingerbread House.
