Recently, I saw a special program on the History Channel. There was a photo of Nazis standing with rifles on one side of a giant hole. On the other side were the human bodies that would fill it. Mothers were ordered to hold their babies high, to be a better target.
Nobody did anything about the injustice until millions were dead.
Just a few days ago, white nationalist and supremacist groups gathered in Charlottesville, Virginia. Another group gathered to protest the gathering and a lot of violence occurred. President Trump made a statement that both sides were equally at fault.
It is absurd that a group espousing hatred and divisiveness would be considered equal to a group speaking out against that hatred.
People have been silent for far too long, biting their tongues to avoid conflict. But conflict has come.
It is my responsibility to speak out against injustice every time I see it.
