Marine Corps League to meet
LEWISTON — Central Maine Detachment 810, Marine Corps League, will host its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.
The Detachment is seeking new members. All U.S. Marines, FMF Corpsman, Navy Chaplains and anyone interested in Marines Helping Veterans may attend.
Travis Mills Foundation benefit
LEWISTON — LOH-Mid Maine Hog Chapter will host a sip-and-paint to benefit the Travis Mills Foundation on Saturday, Sept. 9, at LA Harley on Main Street.
Everyone is welcome, but pre-registration is recommended as space is limited. The cost is $45 which includes all paint supplies and beverages will also be provided.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on Aug. 14 were, first in A, Richard Balian and Tom Goodwin; second in A, Jan and Vern Arey; third in A and first in B, Norma and Rick Verrill; fourth in A, Nancy Lindgren and Rosemarie Goodwin; and, second/third tie in B, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin with Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier.
Winners on Aug. 15 were, first in A, Nancy Farmer and Patricia Quinn; second in A, Jan and Vern Arey; third in A, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; first in B, Richard Balian and George Dumas.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.
A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed.
