PARIS — Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, will host a public lobster roll luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until sold out on Saturday, Aug. 26. The lunch will consist of lobster salad on handcrafted rolls, chips, lemonade or coffee, with a dessert of homemade lemon-blueberry cake.
Proceeds from the luncheon will be donated to the Ecumenical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) World Relief Program for the purchase of farm animals to be donated to families in need.
When a family receives the gift of piglets, goats, baby chicks or other animals suited to the climate of the area, as well as training in animal husbandry, they are able to put nutritious food on the table and begin building a herd or flock to help sustain them for years to come.
Funding for this event is through Thrivent Financial as well as local donations.
Cost: $14, lobster; $3, red hot dogs.

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will serve a bean hole public supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at 50 Main St., Route 219.
There will be a raffle of baked goods and household items.
Proceeds benefit the outreach mission of the church.
