LEWISTON — As schools open Wednesday, new principals will be in charge at four Lewiston schools.
In addition, a new assistant superintendent will be working at administrative headquarters in the Dingley Building, and a new principal has already been named for the new Robert V. Connors Elementary School when it opens in two years.
All of the six individuals involved in those changes come from within the Lewiston school system.
On Tuesday, we profiled three of those people: new Assistant Superintendent Shawn Chabot, the former high school principal; new high school Principal Jake Langlais, the former middle school principal, and new middle school Principal Jana Mates, former Farwell School principal.
Today, we profile the other three educators involved in Lewiston’s leadership changes.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
