KINGFIELD — Paula Dunn’s singing was born out of a desire to help those who are hurting and to challenge people to rise above the obstacles in their lives, and to be successful. 

At 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, she will perform at 40 High St. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, she will speak to women and teen girls at a seminar titled “Dare to Dream.”

The concert costs $15; the seminar is $20 and includes lunch.

Dunn shares experiences of growing up with a father in prison, drugs and alcohol in the home, a mom dying of cancer, and a brother and sister kicked out when they were 14. She tells of God’s grace as she experienced his hand reaching down to rescue her. She also shares humorous stories of being a wife and a mother, and of learning to juggle those roles with her ministry.

Her music and message is crystal clear and points others to Jesus as she speaks about faith, hope and dreams.

Dunn has been singing for the past 28 years. She is a graduate of Liberty University with degrees in vocal performance and counseling. She has performed across the United States and overseas.

A resident of Lynchburg, Virginia, she is married and has a daughter, Emma Grace. She leads more than 500 women in Bible study and worship each week.
