LEWISTON — After a long illness, on Tuesday, Aug. 29, Phyllis Ann Pulk, formerly of Sabattus, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family in Lewiston. She was born Dec. 12, 1946, to Phillip Landers and Leila “Freda” McPherson Landers in the town of Presque Isle.

In 1954 the family relocated to the Lisbon Falls area where she attended local schools. In 1963 she married the love of her life, Tony Pulk, and together they raised their family. Throughout her life she held various jobs, but her greatest pleasure and most important job was being a homemaker for her family. In 1991 she received her GED alongside her sister and two daughters.

She loved animals, dogs and hummingbirds, flowers, reading Stephen King novels, playing cards, playing video games, watching Netflix and Disney movies with her grandchildren, sledding, campfires at night with her family and watching her morning game shows with her husband. All along she exhibited remarkable strength and endurance. She was a true fighter and remained strong and lucid to her final hours. Her greatest love by far was her family. She will be forever missed.

She is survived by Tony Pulk of Sabattus, her loving husband for 54 years. Her four children: Scott and wife Linda of Poland, Michael and wife Jennifer of Bayfield, Colo., Melissa of Sabattus, Lela and her significant other Chris Schools of Vassalboro; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who were fond of calling her GG; two sisters: Myrna Lausier of Meridan, Conn., and Gayle Gould of Lisbon Falls. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Linda “Linny” Couture.
