LEWISTON — Julien E. “Willie” Dumont, 84, of 61 Brooks Avenue, Lewiston, died Monday, Sept. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center.
Born in Lewiston on November 23, 1932, he was the son of Emile and Armosa Blais Dumont. Educated locally, he was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Class of ’51. After serving in the Navy during the Korean War, he returned home and on January 28, 1956, he married Yolande Hamann. He worked in the Sales Department for Motorola for many years, and then worked as an electrician at Bath Iron Works until his retirement. He was a dedicated father and husband, and his family was his world.
Survivors include his loving wife of Lewiston; a daughter, Michelle and husband David Reese of Portland; three sons, Ronald and wife Renee of Greene, Rene and wife Julia of Auburn, and Raymond and husband Rodney of Portland; two sisters, Constance Giguere and Sylvia Martel; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
