KINGFIELD — Mt. Abram Regional Health Center will offer a second free Living Well for Better Health course starting Wednesday, Sept. 20. The center received such a positive response from the first series offered in August, that a waiting list formed for a second series.
Topics discussed during the six-week course include depression, medication use, nutrition and communication skills. Classes will run from noon to 2:30 p.m. every Wednesday for six weeks, ending Oct. 26. All sessions will be held at Webster Hall, 38 School St.
Because ongoing health conditions affect so many adults, SeniorsPlus offers this interactive workshop where participants learn tools to better manage their own health conditions. The Living Well workshop has also been shown to reduce hospitalizations by improving participant’s ability to take care of their health.
Caretakers and spouses are welcome to attend as well.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
