NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Library Children’s Room will offer “1,2,3 Play with Me” for parents or caregivers and their children ages 0-3-years-old as part of Family Place Library™ programming.
“1,2,3 Play with Me” will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. on the five Tuesdays in October. The free program supports the role of parents as the first teachers of their children, provides information about child development and shares strategies for healthy families.
Each session will include time for play with developmentally appropriate toys, books and activities. It will also provide an opportunity to talk with local child development professionals. Registration is required by Friday, Sept. 22.
The Norway library is one of more than 250 Family Place Libraries™ nationwide. In addition, the library offers parenting resources, books and programming for infants and toddlers, and educational materials that are available for checking out.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
