
Mexico board to set tax rate
MEXICO — A public hearing on the 2017-18 tax rate will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, in the Calvin Lyons room at the Town Hall.
There will also be a public hearing to consider an ordinance prohibiting retail marijuana establishments stores and social clubs.
At the Aug. 15 meeting, selectmen voted 5-0 for a second 180-day moratorium on retail marijuana establishments, stores and social clubs. The first moratorium was to expire Aug. 27.
After the hearings, selectmen will set the tax rate.
