NORWAY — Children and youth, ages 7 to 15 are invited to register for the sixth season of the Community Children’s Choir. Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Second Congregational Church, 205 Main St.

Rehearsals will be held from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the church. Performances are scheduled during the annual Christmastide concert on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9 and 10.

Thanks to the continued support of the church, there is no cost for participation. Children and their families, however, will need to be dedicated to the choir and faithful in attendance. No auditions and no church affiliations are required. All are welcome.

Shirli Allen-Heald of Norway and production assistants, Sharon Hollowell of West Paris, Kate Wood of Otisfield and Jean Saunders of South Paris, will continue the program.

Allen-Heald, local performer, music director of the Second Congregational Church and owner/teacher at the Growing Place Day School, said, “I am very excited to continue this project. Children from Woodstock, Paris, Norway, Oxford and Otisfield performed last year. This year’s group will be enhanced with the confidence of returning children and the energy of new members.”
