On September 19th members of the Rangeley Fire & Rescue Department won 1st Place Overall at the Farmington Fair.
If you know any of the members of the department you know they are a very hard working and proud group led by Chief Tim Pellerin. They had decided to have a little fun and join some competitions this September and they did a great job.
In addition to 1st Place Overall at the Farmington Fair, they also won 1st place in both the Wet Hose and Mystery events.
On top of that, they came back with several awards from the September 10th Maine State Federation of Firefighter’s Convention; Best Antique Original 1941-1950 1st place! (Ebby), Best Hand Tub Class B Original, 2nd place ( Hand Tub) and Most Outstanding Fire Department in Parade, 3rd place overall.
For the Maine State Federation Firefighter’s Muster they won 3rd place in both the Mystery and Wet Hose competitions and 2nd Place Overall.
What did Chief Tim Pellerin have to say? As always he was very proud of his crew, “Great job to all the fantastic members who made this happen! Great members, Great Team, Great Department! Thank you team! You’re the best!”
(As a member of the fire department (although I was not a participant in these events) I have to say, right back at you Chief! Thanks to the positive examples you set for us, your continued encouragement and strong leadership, we try our very best!)
