LEWISTON — Maine Event Comedy presents the hilarious Johnny Ater and Colby Bradshaw at the Lewiston Elks Lodge at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30. The show will also feature Boston’s John Sucich and Kathleen DeMarle.
Whether he’s taking light-hearted swipes at himself and his fellow Mainers, or contorting his face into hilarious characters, Ater has left audiences laughing throughout New England and beyond since 2003. He’s performed at the Punchline in San Francisco and headlined the Maine Comedy Festival. Ater has also appeared on “The Nite Show with Danny Cashman” and provided voice-over work for an Agren Appliance television campaign.
Bradshaw’s charm and deadpan delivery have been on display at New York CIty’s Gotham Comedy Club. He earned first place at Empire’s Comedy Winter Classic in Portland and will open for nationally touring comedian Juston McKinney in November.
Sucich was a recent selection to the Cleveland Comedy Festival. Audiences love his unique take on life as a husband and father of three girls.
DeMarle, a native New Englander with big hair, combines self-deprecating humor with oddball storytelling. She performs regularly at The Comedy Studio and Improv Boston.
The Lewiston Elks Lodge is located at 1675 Lisbon Road. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Advance tickets are available at maineeventcomedy.com. The show is for ages 21-and-older and doors open at 7 p.m. FMI: [email protected] or call 207-513-0742.
